ABRA 60 YEARS!
HISTORY
Abra Kulelagersenteret was started January 11, 1962 by Agnar Brattgjerd, hence the name ABRA.
Agnar started Kullagercentret as a spare parts warehouse for the passenger car market in the Trondheim area. The company was started at Innherredsveien in Trondheim where the premises were a modest 30 m2. As the only player in bearings, the company grew rapidly. The passenger car market developed into the transport market, including buses and lorries. Abra was quickly expanded with two barracks in the backyard.
As a result of increased sales and larger inventories, Abra moved again in the autumn of 1970, then a little further down the street to Mellomveien 12. During this time, the employees rode around in tricycles and delivered warehouses at the door to many of the customers in the area. In the late 70's, the industry came into the picture. The company continued to grow steadily over the next few years and delivered more and more to the industry.
Agnar bought a new premises in 1992 at Lade. There was a great development there in the next decades, and the company stayed there for over 20 years before we moved out of the city in September 2016. Abra Kulelagersenteret then moved into modern and larger premises at Tiller just outside Trondheim. Here there is better room to continue to increase inventory and thus the opportunity to deliver to customers.
Since 2021 Abra is part of Nomo.
